America Chavez, a girl who can smash open star-shaped portals that enable her to travel through the Multiverse, is finally making her way to the MCU sooner than expected as another LGBTQ superhero. But who is America Chavez, also known by Miss America? from Golden Age Character named Madeline Joyce. Let's dig a little more about her.

Making her first appearance in Vengeance #1 comic in September 2011, and later serving as a member of Young Avengers, A-Force, Ultimates she has come a long way in the Marvel comics. She was born and raised in the Utopian Parallel, a realm outside conventional time and space formed from the “unbinding of magic” by the multidimensional messiah Demiurge. She emerges to have received or absorbed some or all of her superpowers from the Demiurge's ambient magical presence.

When America was six years old, mysterious forces pervaded the Parallel with dimensional cracks that threatened to break it, kill its inhabitants, and scatter its fragments throughout the Multiverse’s infinite realities. To stabilize the Parallel, Chavez's two mothers sacrificed their lives to seal the rifts, separating their atoms through them in the method.

In the order of grief-stricken rage, Miss America created an interdimensional gateway to escape her home realm into the larger Multiverse to emulate her mother's bravery in other universes. She spent the rest of her childhood adventuring in many dimensions, with her powers protecting her from harm.

Sooner she was adopted by the Santana family having the washed ashore on Jones Beach while they were stargazing. The Santana family took her to their Washington Heights home and raised her as their own and pretended she was their family from San Juan, To make her feel better, Berto gave America his prized toy blue hippo, Juanchiz, who America adored. She didn't get along well with their foster parents as she got into fights with them all the time. At a raging point, America discarded her Santana surname for her original "Chavez" finding no more belonging between them.

Later, Miss America joined the Teen Brigade and served as co-leader with the Ultimate Nullifier. The Teen Brigade is a group of covert super operatives, but eventually, she parted ways with Teen Brigade after a while due to Musical references.

During her Young Avengers time, he traveled to Earth-212 and was approached by the teenage trickster God Loki. He tried to convince Ms. America into killing Wiccan for the advantage of the Multiverse. Displeased with the proposal, Ms. America fought Loki and decided to protect Wiccan from God Loki, who was destined to become the Demiurge. Miss America stopped Loki from magically attacking Wiccan in his home. Hulkling interrupted, but Miss America and Loki quickly left with little explanation. Later Miss America rescued Hulkling, Wiccan, and Loki from the Mother, an inter-dimensional parasite awoken by one of Loki's spells.

In Young Avengers #15, she reveals thoughtlessly to the team that she is not interested in men, and signs away her one-time kiss with the male teen superhero Ultimate Nullifier as experimentation. She later dates Lisa, an EMT, and dances with her to "close a hole in the universe. She also had a crush on Lady Katherine of Bishop, an (alternate version of Kate Bishop), and they have a close relationship.

During the 2015 Secret Wars, Chavez arrives as a member of the A-Force, an all-female team of Avengers. Her fans formed a gang La chiquitas and changed their hair to Chavez symbols including fan Sydney Walker. America fought alongside the Young Avengers of the Monarchy of M against the Sentinels she also fought alongside A-Force until she threw a megalodon across the Shield. With this action, she violated one of Battleworld's greatest laws, endangered everyone under the Shield's protection, and had forsaken the sanctity of Doom's borders. Later, she was arrested by Thor of the Thor Corps and convicted to spend the rest of her life working at the Shield. After the events of Secret Wars, Chavez joined the newly established Ultimates team after getting an invitation from Blue Marvel. Chavez also attends Sotomayor University as a student, where she also shares a class with former Young Avenger teammate prodigy.

Despite being on several adventures and having so many troubles throughout her life, she was a part of many other events like Ultimates, Civil War II, Eternity War, West Coast Avengers, Made in the U.S.A., and fought alongside superheroes.

Shuma Gorath and America Chavez's Connection in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.

Earlier there has been a rumor that Shuma Gorath (The Ruler of hundreds of dimensions) serves as the major villain of Doctor Strange in The Multiverse Of Madness movie. Now there's a little connection between Shuma Gorath and America Chavez here since there's a lot of buzz going around and discussion between the fans that how it all connects. Let's break it down.

Shuma Gorath is going after America Chavez in the movie because she is after her powers as she wants to have control of all the realities and a multiverse. The Green tentacled cyclops alien is hellbent on stealing powers from a teenager who can open doors to alternate realities, travel through the multiverse, and who can also time travel.

Shuma Gorath has incredible abilities from his runs in Marvel Comics including omnipotence and a connection with supernatural beings. It can grow into a massive size as well, it is not going to be an easy task even for the Sorcerer Supreme to go against that creature.

It seems obvious that America Chavez will play a crucial role in her first MCU movie with this news, although, it’s still undiscovered why she and her superhero allies have to break the Multiverse open in the first place when they are trying to fix it. No matter what the questions and theories are, but one thing is for sure is that WE Marvel fans are in for a treat when we watch this movie.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits the theaters on May 6th, 2022.
